PIllow Pals
Join us in making 3 different pillows to decorate your house or gift to your friends and family!
Week One, Curvy Queens, We will be learning how to sew curves and make a pillow out of drunkards path blocks, two choices of design layout.
Week Two, QAYG, We will be learning how to Quilt As You go! Use strips or scraps and make a gorgeous pillow out of the pieces you didn't know what to do wiith! This pillow design/layout is decided by you and your fabric pieces!
Week Three, Petal Pop Christmas Tree, We will be using our green scraps to make a Christmas Tree pillow.
Week Four, Finishing Fantastic. We will learn three different types of pillow backs so we can choose our favorite way to finish off our pillows!
Fabric Requirements:
- 3x 24"x24" piece of fabric for each pillow interior. Please use the fabric you hate/no longer like/don't care about because it is the INTERIOR and will NOT be seen! (These can be pieced!)
- 2x 20" zippers
- Class One, .5 yd background, 16x 5" squares for contrast color.
- Class Two, Scraps! Minimum of 10x 2.5"x22" strips. Or a bunch of different scraps we can piece to make a pillow front!
- Class Three, 3-5 FQs for a scrappy look, or 1 yd for a single color tree, .5 yd for background
- Class Four- fabric reguirement will be given at the end of each class for the corresponding pillow back.
Please bring the standards for class:
- Sewing machine (including pedal and power cord!)
- machine needles (extra one or two)
- rotary cutter + mat (smaller to fit on your table with you)
- snips
- marking pen/pencil
- pins and/or clips
- seam ripper (everyone's favorite notion)
