Cathedral Window Pillow

Have fun with Alissa as she shows you the fun and easy way to make your own cathedral window pillow! We will be using a solid fabric and some scraps or a charm pack, to piece the most beautiful cathedral window pillow on our domestic machines. Only folding and straight stitching and you'll have a gorgeous pillow for your home or a gift!



Supplies Needed:

• 42 - 5" charm squares (or scraps!)
• 4 yards main fabric for pillow tops and backs (preferably a solid to highlight the scraps)
• 2 - 20" pillow form

**These supplies make two pillows, we will be finishing ONE in class, and you'll have enough prepped to go home and make your second!**


Class Prep:

From the main fabric: Cut 22 – 4" x WOF strips, into: 216 – 4" Squares 2 – 21½" x WOF strip, into: 4 – 15½" x 21½" pieces (for pillow backs). Fold 144 - 4" squares of main fabric in half on the diagonal and press. 

From the scraps/charm pack: 26 charms/scraps - cut to 4.25" Squares, 8 charms/scraps - cut to 4.75", 4 charm/scraps - cut/leave at 5".

 
PLEASE HAVE ALL FABRIC PREPPED AND CUT FOR CLASS!!! There is a LOT of prep for these pillows and coming prepared allows for class to run smoothly, and for you to not fall behind!

Sewing Supplies for Class:

• Sewing Machine (don't forget power cord and foot control!)
• Sewing Kit - snips, thread, machine needles (sz 90/14), etc
• Bernina Feet - #37/57/97 1/4" for piecing, #10C for edgestitching the window frames or #23 applique for stitching down the window frames
• Tool to help hold down curves, Purple Thang, By Annie Stiletto, etc
• Thread to match background fabric
• Small iron and ironing mat if you have one for touch ups if needed
